Several scientific studies have shown that there are more beneficial nutrients in organically produced food and fewer contaminants. A recently published Organic Farming, Food Quality and Human Health report looked at over 400 research papers and concluded that there is a large body of scientific evidence indicating organic food is safer and better for you on average than non-organic food. There is also a survey from the Soil Association in the UK that shows there have been no recorded cases of BSE in any organically reared herd. It has also been demonstrated that organic farming practises reduce the risk of pathogens such as E.coli in a herd.
